This noble sweet paprika has a deep red colour and tastes sweet, spicy and fruity. Our paprika comes from a farmers' cooperative in the north of the autonomous province of Vojvodina (Serbia). The farmers belong to a Hungarian minority and produce the paprika in a very traditional way. The peppers are picked by hand when they are at optimum ripeness and dried slowly and gently. They are then ground on a traditional stone mill; this process allows the essential oils to be preserved. In the case of the sweet paprika, only a few spicy seeds are ground. This results in a mild paprika with a deep red colour and an extraordinary intensity of flavour.
