This rose hot paprika tastes strong and has a nice fruity spiciness. Our paprika comes from a farmers' cooperative in the north of the politically autonomous province of Vojvodina in Serbia. The farmers belong to the Hungarian minority and produce the paprika in a very traditional way: the pods are picked by hand when they are optimally ripe and dried slowly and gently. They are then ground on a traditional stone mill; this process allows the essential oils to be preserved. In the case of rose hot paprika, a proportion of the seeds and partitions of the paprika are also ground, which helps give the spice its pleasant pungency. In this way, you get a paprika with a very extraordinary intensity of flavour.
