Rosemary is one of the most versatile herbs of all, whether in the kitchen or as a centuries-old remedy for external and internal use. Its tart, aromatic flavour harmonises very well with hearty Mediterranean dishes such as soups, lamb, mushrooms or potatoes, but also goes fantastically well with desserts or cakes, to which its resinous-bitter aroma adds an innovative perspective. Brewed as a tea, rosemary soothes colds, promotes blood circulation and has a stimulating effect on digestion. It also gets the circulation going and thus counteracts low blood pressure. The valuable essential oils in rosemary have a stimulating effect and are therefore very suitable for bath additives, tinctures and ointments. Rosemary oil is also often used in cosmetics, for example in shampoos to treat hair loss.
